About this notice

This notice explains information handling on onebodyfoundation.org, including The Twelve pages. It covers this public informational website, email inquiries initiated from it, and links to donation services. It does not replace separate notices or consent forms for participation, medical services, school records, transportation, photographs, or other program activities.

Information you choose to provide

If you email or call us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to share. We use inquiries to respond, discuss involvement or support, and maintain relevant correspondence. Please share only what is needed for an initial conversation.

How the inquiry builder works

The “Prepare my email” feature prepares a message in your own email application. Typing in this website’s inquiry box does not submit a form to the Foundation. The message is sent only if you send it through your email service. Your email provider’s practices also apply. Do not include payment details, government identification numbers, medical records, or sensitive information about a child in an initial inquiry.

Technical information and cookies

Our hosting service may record IP addresses, requested pages, browser information, timestamps, and errors to deliver and protect the site. The current website code does not set analytics or advertising cookies, use advertising pixels, or store inquiry text in browser local storage. Google Fonts supplies the typefaces; loading them sends a request to Google that can include your IP address and browser information. See Google Fonts privacy information. Browser controls can restrict third-party requests. We will update this notice if the website’s tracking practices change.

Donations and external services

Donate links open Givebutter on a separate website. Givebutter and its payment providers handle the checkout and may share donor contact information, donation amounts, and transaction details with the Foundation for donation administration and records. This website does not collect card or bank account details. Review Givebutter’s Privacy Policy, its cookie choices, and checkout settings before donating. A public anonymous-donation choice may not hide your identity from the fundraiser or payment providers.

Sharing and service providers

Website hosting, email, font delivery, and donation services process information as described above. Information may also need to be disclosed to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, or protect people and systems. This website does not use visitor information for cross-site advertising or run a visitor-data sales integration. External websites have their own practices; this notice does not describe all of their processing.

Children and family inquiries

Our programs serve young people, but the website’s contact and donation tools are intended for adults, including parents and caregivers. Children under 13 should not send personal information through these tools. A parent or caregiver should make an initial inquiry for a child and avoid sending sensitive details. If you believe a child has provided information that should not be held, contact us to request review and deletion where appropriate. Participation requires a separate discussion and applicable parent or guardian permissions; browsing this site is not enrollment.

Your choices and requests

You may ask about information you have provided, request a correction or deletion, or ask to stop optional communications by contacting us below. Applicable rights and exceptions depend on the information and law involved. Some donation, accounting, safeguarding, or legal records may need to be retained. We may ask for enough information to verify a request. Do not send identity documents unless a suitable process has been arranged. For information held independently by Givebutter or another provider, use that provider’s privacy controls as well.

Retention and security

Different records can be subject to different operational and legal retention needs. Contact us for questions about a particular record. The site uses HTTPS, but no website or email system can guarantee complete security. Ordinary email is not a secure intake channel for health records or other highly sensitive information.
